J.A. Henckels is a kitchenware manufacturer registered in 1731 by Peter Henckels and later renamed after Peter’s son. The company is based in Solingen, Germany and owns such brands as:

Zwilling means “twin” in German and is a very old trademark. Henckels makes diverse knife lines, which include knives of high quality and budget knives.  J.A. Henckels knives review is presented below.

Henckels knives are manufactured in several different ways. Most knives’ blades feature high carbon, stainless steel, ice hardened for sharpness and stain resistance. It is cryogenic tempering, and involves immersing the finished knife blades in liquid nitrogen.

The forged series also has enlarged bolster for safety and extra balance.

Under the brand of Zwilling J.A. Henckels, Henckels offers diverse knife lines, including the Pro-S line, Four Star, Four Star II, Five Star, Twin lines, Pure and Cronidur.
